Bauneg Beg Lake Association received a 319 Grant from the DEP. The BBLA Board of Trustees voted to let York County Soil and Water Conversation District hold the grant, since they have experience with grants from the DEP and are familiar with all the paper work that needs to be kept.

Due to Covid 19, the grant process is getting a slow start because of the social distancing, as most work is done by volunteers. As soon as it is safe to begin these projects, we will do so.
What is a 319 Grant?
The 319 Grant is a volunteer based program. If you have a high school student that needs community service? A home schooled student? Church community service? We welcome you.
Jobs that need to be helped with is digging holes, planting plants, watering, and the like. Mindee can give you a complete report when you contact her.
One project is the Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford. The City of Sanford is putting a lot of team work and effort into this project. Here there is quite a bit of planting that needs to be done. This can be done in sections, to stay within the confines of covid safety. One day the holes can be dug, then someone can go and plant, then someone can go and water. This project was completed by Bauneg Beg Lake Associations members, volunteers and the City of Sanford Maine.
Thank you for your interest.
