  1. Bauneg Beg Lake Association (BBLA) owns the dam that maintains our waterfronts. Without the dam, we would not have a lake. The dam is located on Morrells Mill Road in North Berwick. The dam property isn’t owned by the State of Maine. It is the responsibility of BBLA to maintain the dam property.
  2. BBLA isn’t a social organization. We have a mission to operate and maintain the dam, water quality and navigational safety of our lake.
  3. BBLA is a non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 designation. This means that your donations may be tax-deductible.

What projects are anticipated for 2017:

  1. Install an emergency gate system used if the other one needs repairs or fails.
  2. Complete the phosphorous barrier project up river. This project will reduce the amount of phosphorous flowing into the lake thus reducing the growth of weeds.
  3. Continue water quality testing and purchase new water testing equipment.
  4. Replace navigational buoys that have been lost.
